In order for it to drain properly, the drain hose must be installed with part of it at least 33” from the cabinet floor. Do not exceed 43” in drain hose height. You can connect the dishwasher drain hose to the drain plumbing using a high loop and there are 2 ways to do this.
A high loop prevents waste water back flowing from your sink to your dishwasher. If the drain hose is not elevated, there is a potential for water to run the wrong way through your drain hose and can cause standing water at the bottom of your dishwasher.
Where should dishwasher drain be located?
